A little bit of what I'm up to and into at the minute.

Cute kid walkie talkies, tasty Galway tacos, a fab podcast for print lovers and a mid-year check-in

Tacos Traviesas

📳 We recently got Ari these fun little walkie talkies and I’ve been pretty impressed by their range and ruggedness.

📝 Loving Susannah Conway’s (free!) mid-year check in workbook.

🌮 Galway taco lovers should make a beeline for Tacos Tacostraviesas, who pop up at the lovely Tiny Traders.

🎧 I have been devouring every episode of the Full Bleed podcast. It’s about “the future of magazines – and the magazines of the future” and I’ve found every episode to be full of fascinating insights into both the future of print and digital journalism.

🪄 One thing we go through a lot in this house is baking soda, especially during the summer when fizzy potion experiments abound. We’ve started buying it in bulk from Irish store Bomar and it’s been so handy and much better value.

🥕 If you too spend way too much time in supermarket aisles trying to decipher labels I’d recommend giving the Yuka app a shot.

📺 Enjoyed Brats (available on Disney+ in Ireland), a doc about Hollywood’s Brat Pack. Really made me want to re-watch classics like The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink.

📖 Also enjoyed Tom Lake by Ann Patchett, a lovely, mellow, heartfelt read.

🎤 Some mamma buddies and I recently sang our hearts out at a Sing Along Social event and it was good for the soul. If they come your way, I highly recommend going along.
